KKR has been selected by the US Army, alongside Carlyle, to build and operate a large data centre on a military base. The project will use KKR portfolio company CyrusOne to provide digital infrastructure supporting advanced AI workloads. This marks KKR's first formal role in delivering a major military data centre tied to US defence and AI capabilities. The contract adds government-backed digital infrastructure exposure to KKR's existing private markets and infrastructure portfolio. KKR shares recently traded at $91.23, with a 3.1% return over the past week and 89.2% over three years. The stock trades 33% below the $135.30 analyst consensus target but approximately 11% above Simply Wall St's estimated fair value. The deal may influence how KKR allocates capital and pursues long-term government contracts.
