Requirements
  • Strong hands-on experience developing applications in Appian business process management and integrating with commercial off-the-shelf products.
  • Strong business analysis and technical expertise to produce business process models, convert them into code, and deliver prototypes rapidly.
  • Seven to eight years of experience using Appian to build solutions and deliver mission-critical, fault-tolerant applications.
  • At least three years of hands-on development experience with Java and Java Platform, Enterprise Edition, web services, and RESTful services.
  • At least three years of experience with HTML, HTML5, CSS, JSON, XML, JavaScript, and Ajax.
  • Strong business analysis, model-driven architecture, and model-driven development skills for producing analysis, design, component, and deployment models for Appian-based business process management applications.
  • Hands-on object-oriented analysis and design skills, including requirements analysis, object-oriented design patterns, and Unified Modeling Language.
  • Experience incorporating non-functional design aspects into code components.
  • Experience with quality assurance processes for functional, non-functional, and parallel application testing.
  • Moderate understanding of application resiliency, security, scalability, and performance concepts.
  • Strong understanding of addressing Appian application performance issues and application tuning.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks, perform in-depth code reviews, and ensure design and coding adhere to security and architectural standards.
  • Solid experience with agile project delivery and managing competing priorities.
  • Experience implementing business process management solutions using Appian Platform 17.x or later.
  • Strong hands-on experience configuring Appian, debugging, unit testing, system testing, integration testing, and documenting new applications and enhancements, including forms, reports, underlying logic, and interface components.
  • Experience integrating Appian with different technology platforms using native integration components.
  • High-level understanding of the products that comprise reference architecture and their constraints.
  • Knowledge of Appian process models, SAIL forms, CDT, records, reports, Appian security architecture, web APIs, plug-in development, enterprise-system integration, web services, REST services, Java/J2EE, Spring, and Hibernate.
  • Knowledge of web technologies including HTML, HTML5, XML, JavaScript, and Ajax; databases and connectivity technologies including JDBC, ODBC, and SQL; and development tools including Jenkins, JUnit, Maven, and Subversion.
  • Moderate Java/J2EE skills and knowledge of system design, jQuery, JavaScript frameworks, Ajax, JUnit, Spring, Subversion, Maven, Jenkins, SCA, REST, Appian SAIL interfaces, process models, and records.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to assimilate new information, understand complex topics, and reach sound analysis and judgment.
Responsibilities
  • Develop Appian business process management applications and integrate them with other commercial off-the-shelf products.
  • Produce business process models, convert models into code, and rapidly deliver prototypes.
  • Build mission-critical and fault-tolerant Appian solutions.
  • Configure, debug, test, and document Appian applications and enhancements, including forms, reports, underlying logic, and interface components.
  • Integrate Appian with enterprise systems and other technology platforms using native integration components.
  • Perform in-depth code reviews and ensure designs and code comply with security and architectural standards.
  • Address Appian application performance issues and perform application tuning.
  • Support BPM application development projects and bank-wide transformation projects across Corporate, Legal, Risk, Human Resources, Technology Group, and Executive Office functions.
