Requirements
  • A minimum of 6 years of industry experience and success working collaboratively in a matrix team environment.
  • Experience with casualty lines.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
  • A property and casualty insurance license, or the ability to obtain one.
  • Knowledge of market risk issues, insurance brokerage, account management, servicing, and sales skills.
  • A detailed understanding of changing insurance and risk-management market conditions.
  • Substantial risk expertise and knowledge of the insurance industry and carriers.
Responsibilities
  • Devise the go-to-market strategy, advocate for the value of the placement function, and participate in pricing services as applicable.
  • Instruct the submission of coverage specifications and obtain quotes from carriers based on the assist, advise, and assume transaction model.
  • Consult with client executives and client teams to support client retention and new business production.
  • Inspect the binding of coverage and ensure the accuracy of placement binders.
  • Build relationships with practices, insurance markets, clients, carriers, and underwriters to provide cohesive client service.
  • Inform client executives, client advisors, and clients of major developments affecting various types of insurance products and coverage.
  • Formulate placement strategies using risk expertise and knowledge of the industry and carriers to develop solutions for difficult client needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with underwriters to manage the placement of insurance programs.
  • Lead complex placement and technical-support activities on large accounts, including ensuring procedural compliance, reviewing data, updating annual renewal exhibits, maintaining accurate placement-system entries, and ensuring contract execution as required.
