What You’ll Do
The Director of Software Deployment and Support is an essential leadership role in our software development organization. Reporting to the VP of Core Systems Software Engineering, we are seeking leaders with deep experience and proven track records in customer success through flawless software/systems deployments, world class 24/7 software support, and scaling new site customer deployments.
Hire, train, and scale Tier 3 support teams to solve complex software and systems problems sooner.
Resolve Critical System Down incidents and notifications (CSDNs) with rapid containment, and full root cause and permanent corrective action, in close cross-company collaboration.
Be available to personally lead incident response, as well as train and coach incident managers and teams.
Lead efforts to significantly reduce software deployment time, perform multiple deployments in parallel for scale, cut the time required to shut down or restart full structure systems by 50% or more, automate monitoring and alerting of our hundreds of sites.
Monitor and control all software versions on all Bots and Core SW components, to ensure all sites are running the same up to date GA versions of all software.
A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in a related engineering discipline (ie. Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, etc.). MS degree is desirable.
Minimum of 15 years of professional experience working in high technology environments with a focus on software applications, rapid response, customer enabling engineering, deployment and support, automation.
At least 5+ years spent managing teams.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and support unscheduled events.
