  • Make and own key technical decisions and document them clearly for the team.
  • Identify risks early and drive solutions before they become blockers.
  • Own firmware delivery from product requirements through production release, ensuring quality, schedule, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Write, review, and maintain production firmware in C and C++, with Rust where applicable.
  • Develop drivers, middleware, and application logic for sensor-rich embedded platforms.
  • Work with Zephyr real-time operating system across multiple microcontroller families, including STM32, Nordic nRF, and ESP32.
  • Debug firmware using JTAG, SWD, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Integrate and validate sensors, including IMUs, accelerometers, and gyroscopes.

  • Perform code reviews focused on correctness, safety, and long-term maintainability.
  • Lead a small team of embedded engineers, set clear goals, and mitigate day-to-day risks.
  • Mentor engineers through design reviews, pair programming, and direct feedback.
  • Collaborate with hardware, systems, and product teams to align on requirements.
  • Interview candidates and help define the team's technical bar.
  • Map the current embedded software architecture, identify the highest-priority gaps, and ship at least one meaningful feature end-to-end within the first 90 days.
  • Establish a team testing standard, introduce measurable improvements to firmware reliability, and build working relationships with hardware and systems engineering within six months.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Rust in embedded contexts.
  • Familiarity with TinyML or edge machine-learning frameworks, including TensorFlow Lite Micro, Edge Impulse, and ONNX Runtime.
  • Background in aerospace, satellite, or other safety-critical systems.
  • Experience with model optimization techniques such as quantization and pruning.
  • Contributions to open-source embedded or real-time operating system projects.

E-Space creates and deploys small, easy-to-install devices that can be tracked and connected globally. Its E-Space LEO platform uses AIoT to optimize data from these devices, turning it into actionable insights and automation. They redesign spacecraft, antennas, and terminals to cut the cost of satellite systems and make space technology more accessible. Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Arlington approved E-Space’s 30-year lease, signaling unusually strong local government backing.
  • Beyon and e& partnerships validate satellite IoT demand across Bahrain and Gulf operators.
  • The company’s sustainability pitch matches rising enterprise demand for cheaper, lower-impact connectivity.

What critics are saying

  • Arlington’s Spring 2027 build depends on $115 million public spending and strict hiring milestones.
  • E-Space disclosed only $50 million funding, far below its massive constellation ambitions.
  • If Arlington slips or capital dries up, E-Space becomes a perpetual concept company.

What makes E-Space unique

  • Greg Wyler’s patented LEO design targets zero-trust, gateway-free satellite networking.
  • CommAgility integration gives E-Space 5G NTN source code and payload development depth.
  • Arlington’s 2025 headquarters plan ties manufacturing, hangars, and satellite R&D together.
