Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience in the technology industry
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with substantial depth of experience on at least 1 cloud platform
  • Demonstrated experience briefing senior-level executives
  • Experience being accountable for revenue and/or sales objectives
  • 10+ years of experience in a customer facing role with the demonstrated ability to communicate with customers tactfully and effectively
  • AWS Practitioner Cert (or Azure/GCP equivalent)
Responsibilities
  • Develop deep and meaningful relationships with key customers and become their trusted advisor for cloud adoption
  • Work closely with our engagement managers to track the progress of existing engagements and provide 2nd-level oversight to schedule/cost/risk concerns
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customers and work proactively to avoid issues and work diligently to address any issues that do arise
  • Serve as the primary conduit between the customer and any internal SMX teams they may need to interact with, such as accounting, pre-sales, or our Cloud Center of Excellent
  • Actively seek out new opportunities for SMX to bring value to our customers and pursue conversations with the right stakeholders to help drive these opportunities to closure
  • Build relationships with any additional vendors or cloud partners that are engaged on a given account
  • Collaborate with sales, pre-sales, and exec leadership to help pursue and close new opportunities with both new and existing customers
