  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
  • 10+ years of experience in software development
  • 7+ years of experience running technology-related programs delivering platform solutions using agile development techniques across distributed teams.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and execution skills with the ability to influence multi-functional teams and key decision maker; drive results, deliver, and excel.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
Responsibilities
  • Design, build and drive strategy and execution plan for ambiguous and highly complex technical program(s) requiring coordination across functions, teams & organizations.
  • Partners with the business to understand and ensure connection to overarching strategy and program and ensures prioritization is aligned with strategy.
  • Develop product phase-out planning in line with the product roadmap for any individual part of the Product development lifecycle.
  • Provide architectural and design input, with ability to dive deep into technical details as required.
  • Enables optimum organizational efficiency by taking a whole systems approach and thinking across boundaries by ensuring all components (people, product, process, and technology) are identified and accounted for.
  • Define program governance, and build program roadmap by integrating timelines and milestones across program tracks, identifying and aligning areas of synergy or dependency.
  • Continuously evaluate the progress of program(s) and make adjustments (e.g., to task order or timeline) to keep the program on track and deliver business unlocks.
  • Leverage experience to anticipate and identify risks in advance of impacts and lead proactive mitigation of issues and risks.
  • Establish working relationships with stakeholders and builds rapport to become a trusted advisor to identify and mitigate strategic issues and effectively handle trade-offs between cost, schedule, and customer benefit.
  • Utilize technical knowledge and communication skills to generate and design comprehendible, broadly-applicable and differentiated communications for various internal and external audiences.

  • Ability to build a deep knowledge of the Ad Platform Tech Stack and meaningful dependencies.

Vrbo Plans Greater Traveler Targeting Through Marketing Tech

Expedia vacation rental brand Vrbo has developed a promotion suite to make more personalized offers to travelers. Where the brand had only been able to offer week and monthly discounts in the past, it now hopes to improve the proposition for travelers through promotions such as mobile deals, member-only deals for OneKey members and last-minute offers.
