Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of Project Accounting including Percentage of Completion revenue recognition
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and regulatory compliance
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP/IFRS
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and operational decisions
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing forecasts
  • Develop and monitor key financial metrics and KPIs
  • Provide variance analysis and recommend corrective actions
  • Design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
  • Oversee internal and external audits, addressing any findings promptly
  • Manage cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed
  • Oversee the company’s treasury functions, including investments and financing strategies
  • Optimize working capital and manage banking relationships
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
  • Coordinate with other departments to provide financial insights and support
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute financial strategies
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations for business growth and profitability
  • Support M&A activities, including due diligence and integration
  • Ensure accurate and timely project accounting, including tracking and reporting of project costs
  • Oversee Percentage of Completion (PoC) revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with relevant standards
  • Provide financial oversight and support for project managers to optimize project financial performance
