  • PhD. in a technology or engineering or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 7+ years of work experience after PhD., in the artificial intelligence domain discipline
  • Knowledge and experience of development of various data representation methods, understanding of statistical and logic/rule based artificial reasoning approaches
  • Experience with a variety of ML and multi-modal GenAI techniques (e.g. multivariate/logistic regression models, cluster and time-series analysis, predictive modeling, neural networks, deep learning, pricing models, decision trees, ensemble methods, etc.), as well as GNN and inference over symbolic systems
  • Proficiency in model development and experimentation
  • Strong understanding of NLP fundamentals, including tokenization, word embeddings, language modeling, sequence labeling, and text generation
  • Experience with data processing, data embedding using LLMs, Vector databases and prompt engineering
  • Experience with LLMs/LLM memory/SLMs/Agents/Knowledge Graphs/VLMs
  • Advanced knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (SQL, NoSQL)
  • Passion for leading teams and providing both formal and informal mentorship, champion team efforts for bigger impacts by demonstrating curiosity in primary and adjacent areas, thought leadership and viral enthusiasm to motivate colleagues
  • Experience with wrangling, exploring, transforming, and analyzing datasets of varying size and complexity
  • Knowledgeable of tools and processes to monitor model performance and data quality, including model tuning experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage customers at a business level in addition to a technical level
  • Sound knowledge of early-stage technology research programs: understanding user needs, gathering requirements, defining project scope and deliverables, building schedules and executing programs from inception to prototyping
  • Stay current with AI/ML trends and research; be a thought leader in AI area
Responsibilities
  • Lead projects at the intersection of Cognitive Modeling, Machine Learning, Knowledge Representation and Reasoning
  • Lead the team to prepare the proof-of-concept, demo/prototypes, design and execute studies
  • Coordinate projects of various time-scales and pioneer partnerships across internal R&D labs, startups and universities
  • Lead the development of innovative ideas and generative AI algorithms based on noisy signals from sensors including, but not limited to, light, audio, physiological, and inertial sensor data collected both in lab and field settings
  • Generate patents and scientific research papers for top-tier publications
