Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business-related area
  • CPA required
  • 8+ years-experience, including at least 3 years of public accounting experience required as well as corporate accounting with SEC reporting responsibilities (10-K and 10-Q preparation and filing experience)
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting guidance, SEC reporting requirements and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
  • Excellent technology, analytical, and communication skills with emphasis on professional business writing skills
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain internal financial reporting requirements
  • Responsible for documentation and monitoring of internal controls and company policies related to the preparation of SEC reporting
  • Assist in responding to requests from external and internal auditors
  • Support the tax department with ad hoc requests for reports and other financial information
  • Develops and executes departmental strategy to achieve key business objectives
  • Constantly seek for improvement opportunities and drive changes
  • Play a key role in supporting the implementations of financial information systems
  • Partner with functional partners across the organization to support corporate initiatives
  • Lead various special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed or assigned
  • Demonstrate a detailed understanding of U.S. GAAP as applicable; ensures the team is in compliance with approved technical accounting policies; assists with the implementation of approved new technical accounting policies
  • Independently organizes and oversees efforts and activities for team, manages, coaches and mentor's staff
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk
