Requirements
  • Degree in Agriculture, Science, Economics, or a related discipline
  • 3-10 years of experience in consulting, natural resource management, or agricultural policy
  • Broad understanding of agricultural and rural industries in Australia
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to provide assistance to concise and accurate advice/reports
  • Strong initiative with the ability to work independently and as a constructive team member, including providing support and direction to junior team members
  • Ability to work across multiple projects and deliver high-quality client outcomes
Responsibilities
  • Providing clear written technical input and advice across a range of policy and program initiatives relating to agricultural industries, rural and regional development, and natural resource management
  • Gathering information and data, and conducting research activities including scanning and evaluating multiple internal and external data sources, accessing relevant industry data from state and federal government agencies and key industry sources
  • Conducting technical analyses to inform strategic land use planning, agricultural impact, cost-benefit, socio-economic, and financial assessments
  • Working with our team’s Technical Directors to deliver high quality outputs for clients in line with our project management and quality assurance frameworks
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging with stakeholders across government, industry, and community sectors
