About the Role

The Quality Control Associate will take a hands-on approach to the maintenance and continuous improvement of our product quality control processes. Reporting to the QC Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive high quality and safe meal kits they feel excited about serving to their families.

What you will be doing:

• Conduct quality control inspections during receiving to ensure specification adherence;
• Perform regular inspections on packaged products for lot code;
• Work closely with the Warehouse Team to achieve quality targets;
• Communicate with cross-functional teams in cases of product non-conformance;
• Maintain photo database of product non-conformances;
• Lead product sorting teams;
• Perform quality control inspections on work-in-progress and finished product;
• Complete logs and records as required
• Work in compliance with OH&S acts and regulations.
• Use personal protective and safety equipment and clothing as directed by the employer and report workplace hazards and dangers to the supervisor or employer.
• Other duties as assigned

At a minimum, you have: 

• 0-1 year experience in warehousing and/or food manufacturing;
• Experience working in QC/QA is an asset;
• Flexible with working hours for business requirements, including afternoon and weekend shifts;
• Able to lift up to 20 kgs
• Comfortable working in a cold environment and standing and walking for duration of shift;
• Familiar with MS Office, Google Apps and comfortable learning new technology
