- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
- No experience required.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Missouri Division of Professional Registration or an RN license issued by a compact state.
- Perform scrub functions, including selecting and handling instruments and supplies used during procedures.
- Perform circulating functions, including monitoring, recording, and communicating the patient's condition and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
- Directly assist the operating physician with surgical tasks, including hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
- Apply evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge to nursing practice and deliver care based on patients' age-specific and clinical needs.
- Follow professional nursing standards and use the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide responses to patients' current and evolving health and nursing needs.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Operating Room (OR) experience.
