- A Practical Nurse Diploma.
- Current registration and membership in good standing in the applicable province.
- At least 3 years of experience with seniors’ health.
- Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.
- Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Leadership, coaching, and mentorship skills.
- Work as a member of the inter-professional team using the person-centered approach to care.
- Complete and ensure residents’ clinical care assessments, care/service plans, and documentation are accurate and up to date, and communicate changes as required.
- Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of care/service plans and make changes as required.
- Assist with scheduling residents’ care conferences and participate in conferences where applicable.
- Work closely with the Director of Care to facilitate residents’ move-in, move-out, and transfers.
- Provide direct resident care and administer medications and treatments, documenting care in compliance with regulatory and resident-care standards, policies, and procedures.
