White Cap opens 2nd Enterprise Distribution Center in PA. The facility supports 67 branches across 13 states amid a year of acquisitions and network expansion for the construction and safety products distributor. Construction and safety supplies distributor White Cap celebrated the opening of its second Enterprise Distribution Center on Aug. 6 in Bethlehem, PA, adding nearly 481,000 square feet of distribution capacity to serve the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. The facility is White Cap's first EDC in the eastern U.S. and follows the September 2025 opening of its first such center in Perris, CA. The Bethlehem location currently supports 67 White Cap branches across 13 states, including major markets such as New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. It employs 66 associates, with plans to grow beyond 70 as operations expand. "Our Bethlehem EDC puts more of our broad product assortment closer to our customers' job sites," White Cap CEO Alan Sollenberger said. He added that the center is intended to improve delivery speed and reliability across some of the country's busiest construction markets. The facility opening is the latest piece of White Cap's 2026 expansion through both organic investment and acquisitions. On Aug. 3, the company also announced a new Customer Delivery Hub in Mt. Juliet, TN, serving the Nashville market. The hub will handle jobsite deliveries on behalf of multiple branches while also supporting limited walk-in, will-call and standard delivery business. That same day, White Cap completed its acquisition of Gierke Robinson Company - an Iowa-based distributor of concrete accessories and tools, equipment rentals and repair services. The business serves contractors across eastern Iowa, western Illinois and southwestern Wisconsin from four Iowa locations. White Cap originally announced the agreement in mid-July. Earlier in 2026, White Cap completed its combination with Colony Hardware, adding more than 60 locations across 20 eastern and central U.S. states. In May, it acquired Concrete Systems Inc., which operates in Albuquerque, NM and El Paso, TX, and distributes concrete accessories and rental formwork. Atlanta-based White Cap now operates approximately 575 branches across North America, with more than 12,000 employees serving about 200,000 customers. Recommended Reading
