LOCATION
This is a part-time, remote position. It is expected that position duties will be performed remotely. Access to our office location and event attendance is optional, with the understanding that SEO will consult government and public health advisories to help us determine the extent to which it is safe to carry out in-person and onsite activities.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Investment Academy Coach helps support various aspects of the SEO’s AI programming with a primary focus on strengthening the coaching and mentoring model around working with those interested in the alternative investments space.
This role will give you the opportunity to directly interact with those interested in entering the alternative investments industry in addition to providing you with immense opportunity to continue to develop the existing programming model to have a greater impact on helping increase diversity in the alternative investments industry. The role also provides the coach with unparalleled exposure and access to our partner firms such as Apollo, Carlyle, KKR, TPG, Oaktree, etc.
The role requires a minimum of 4-6 months commitment for 15-20 hours/week. Most coaching will be conducted virtually.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mentor and coach underrepresented young professional SEO fellows as they prepare to enter the alternative investments industry
- Provide individual and group mentorship cultivating professional growth and connection to SEO.
- Conduct mock interviews to assess candidates and provide detailed feedback.
- Provide industry knowledge and experience improve programming and increase diversity in the alternative investments space.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 1 year of Private Equity experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to empathize with colleagues and individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences
- Analytical thinker with an ability to assess the effectiveness of programs and events.
- Proficient in managing multiple prioritizing tasks to achieve timely and efficient results.
- Excellent communication skills, intellectual depth, and a professional presence
- Demonstrated track record of outcomes.
- Highly proficient in utilizing MS365 and common workplace applications (e.g., Zoom, Box, Monday.com).
- Passion for SEO’s mission and creating opportunities for early career professionals in the private equity space.
- Available to work occasional evenings and weekends.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
This position is benefits ineligible in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
