  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years equivalent work experience in business environment.
  • Have a working knowledge of mail delivery and sorting.
  • General knowledge of working in a store environment.
Responsibilities
  • Receive, sort, and distribute and coordinate all incoming internal mail and parcels from the material distribution center (MDC).
  • Daily interaction with the transportation services drivers, coordinating pick up and deliveries with them.
  • Full understanding and operational knowledge of the handheld scanners for tracking incoming material and inter building parcel movement.
  • Knowledge of how the shipping/tracking system works and the use of tracking system software with data input of customer/source information.
  • Daily interaction with Northrop Grumman employees to resolve recipient/location discrepancies to ensure accurate & timely internal delivery.
  • Routine visual inspection of all incoming mail/parcels.
  • General knowledge of Northrop Grumman facilities, locations, mailstops/room structure.
  • Perform various sales and cashier functions associated with the Employee Store. Reconcile and maintain records of store transactions as required.
  • Perform manual and clerical duties that may utilize computers, including cash registers.
  • Determine acceptability of cash, checks, credit cards, and other transactional funds within prescribed limits.
  • Coordinate merchandise and ticket sales between the sector employee stores.
  • Prepare inventory list of merchandise and accessories. Submit list to management for use in ordering and preparing purchase orders.
