Interactive Brokers LLC, the Group’s electronic brokerage arm, is seeking a Summer Intern to support staff Tax Professionals in an effort to support sales, customer service and tax compliance for customer brokerage accounts.

The position will support all areas of Company tax & brokerage customer-related tax items, including registration, information reporting, as well as providing daily support to sales and customer service with respect to customer registration and inquiries.

The successful candidate will support information reporting for US, Canadian and other foreign accounts. Projects will include(but not limited to):

Reviewing and compiling all the information returns for 2019 TY and previous tax years
Helping with CRS pre-existing account compliance
Intern support for information filing and compliance
Reviewing country websites for new information on CRS or FATCA
Compiling of payment processing documentation
Intern support for European VAT and Canadian GST
Intern support for FBAR compliance
Intern support for Non-qualified accounts (IRAs)
Informational returns compiling and organizing
Intern support for Website tax informational content
Research IRS website for new forms to update IB web site
Develop ideas for improving the current informational content

Qualification & Skills

Education: Working towards Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Strong math & business skills
Professional communication and writing skills are required.

Will give preference to individuals with Courses in, or prior experience with tax, preferably in tax information reporting.
