Sofive operates state-of-the-art 5-a-side soccer centers in urban areas. It designs, builds, and manages all-season turf facilities with multiple small-sided fields, live-streaming cameras, and electronic scoreboards. The centers rent fields for pickup games and private events, and also run leagues, tournaments, camps, clinics, birthday parties, corporate events, and other programs, often with lounges for watching games. Revenue comes from field rentals and recurring programs like leagues and camps, plus events and hospitality services. Sofive differentiates itself by offering a premium, weatherproof, high-quality playing environment in major metropolitan areas, paired with integrated facilities and tech, diverse revenue streams, and a deliberate expansion strategy (from Carlstadt, NJ to ten locations in several states). Its goal is to make soccer more accessible and convenient for enthusiasts of all ages by providing reliable, high-quality, small-sided soccer experiences year-round.

What believers are saying

  • Over 5 million annual visitors create strong repeat-visit and monetization potential.
  • Square-enabled loyalty and ordering can lift spend per visit across locations.
  • Brewery and watch-party additions expand ancillary revenue without changing the core soccer model.

What critics are saying

  • Local zoning approvals can delay brewery and outdoor-field expansion in Mount Laurel.
  • High capital intensity leaves Sofive exposed to utilization swings and weak site economics.
  • Operational complexity rises across 22 centers, increasing outage and integration risk.

What makes Sofive unique

  • 22-center indoor soccer network across 12 cities and 10 states.
  • Premium small-sided fields with technology, lounges, and year-round weatherproof play.
  • Multiple revenue streams from rentals, leagues, youth academies, events, and food service.
