Aviagen supplies day-old grandparent and parent stock chicks for broilers, using a large breeding program to improve performance, health, and welfare under brands Arbor Acres, Indian River, Ross, and niche lines Rowan Range and Specialty Males. The birds' genetics are passed to producers via breeders, with selection aided by technologies like pulse oximetry and ultrasound, and backed by strict biosecurity across its global network of production facilities and hatcheries. It differentiates itself through a long lineage from Arbor Acres, Ross, and L.I.R, substantial R&D investment, and a broad portfolio that serves standard and niche markets. Its goal is to help customers provide affordable, nutritious protein by delivering consistent genetic gains and efficient broiler production while safeguarding animal health and the food chain.
