Ardent is seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our team.
This is an Onsite position located in Tysons, VA. Remote work is subject to the discretion/needs of the customer.
Position Description:
Ardent is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Automation Engineer who is responsible for designing testing procedures. This includes analyzing the functionality of applications and designing automated tests to validate their performance. The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will serve as a backup to the Quality Assurance Automation Team Lead.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for designing testing procedures. This includes analyzing the functionality of applications and designing automated tests to validate their performance.
- The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will serve as a backup to the Quality Assurance Automation Team Lead.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with eight (8) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment OR No Bachelor’s degree with ten (10) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working on Agile Software Projects that used Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
- DHS Section 508 Trusted Tester certification (must be obtained within six (6) months of contract award).
- Experience implementing test tools to support test automation, performance testing, and code coverage, such as Selenium and SonarQube.
- Experience identifying software application weaknesses and target areas for improvement.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience meeting with the software design team to discuss verification protocols and collaborate on solving application faults.
- Experience sketching out ideas for automated software test procedures.
- Experience writing automation scripts and implementing software applications.
- Experience reviewing software bug reports and highlighting problem areas.
- Experience troubleshooting automation software and finalizing system procedures.
- Experience identifying quality issues and creating detailed test reports.
