Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Age 18 or older
  • Ability to access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
  • Interpret instructions, reports and information
  • Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
  • Climb up and down ladders as needed
  • Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds
  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); reliable and prompt and regular attendance necessary
  • Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)

Responsibilities
  • Understand sales goals, plans and execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement
  • Lead and share expertise in operations, accuracy and efficiency
  • Establish clear goals and expectations with direct leader and hold team members accountable
  • Utilize workload planning tools to complete all scheduled workload ensuring areas are guest ready at store open
  • Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns
  • Lead and follow up on organizational and operational change with guidance from direct leader
  • Build a team of General Merchandise experts from initial selection through onboarding and learning; develop team members through ongoing training and direction
  • Demonstrate inclusivity and ethical conduct; safety and compliance; lead team to uphold commitment
  • Lead and demonstrate a safety culture by modeling and recognizing safe behaviors, identifying and correcting hazards, and reporting injuries
  • Model execution of physical security processes to enhance in-store security culture
  • Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store; including ordering, storage and application as directed by best practices
  • Follow all safe and secure training and processes as a key carrier if applicable
  • Address store and offsite emergency and compliance needs
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup and Drive Up and maintain compliance with laws
  • Greet guests and engage with guests to help solve their needs and express appreciation
  • All other duties based on business needs
