Requirements
  • PhD in Plant Biology, Plant Physiology, Crop Science, Plant Breeding, Agronomy, or Agricultural Engineering
  • Proficiency in standard phenotyping techniques and protocols applicable to major row crops
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with proficiency in both written and verbal communication
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to work for extended periods outdoors in hot conditions
  • Superior time management and organizational abilities
  • The capacity to juggle multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines in a dynamic production environment

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate and execute row crop phenotyping experiments
  • Foster cross-functional relationships with project leads and operational personnel
  • Refine, implement, and scale manual as well as image-based phenotyping workflows
  • Supervise and direct seasonal staff
  • Advance a culture of standardized and traceable data acquisition, procedures and documentation
  • Communicate through technical reports and articulate oral presentations
  • Contribute innovative ideas and methodologies for high-throughput phenotyping methods
  • Communicate and coordinate with a local team as well as key stakeholders in multiple locations
  • Model behaviors consistent with the highest safety culture
