We are currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate to fill the role of Warehouse Team Lead. This full-time, 1st Shift position is based in Rockledge, FL, and offers an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to a culture built on quality, integrity, and teamwork.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily operations within our warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient inventory control, materials handling, and the overall management of shipping and receiving processes. This position requires strong leadership skills, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Supervise warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
- Manage inventory control processes to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Oversee materials handling operations, ensuring safe and effective practices.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely processing of orders.
- Implement best practices for inventory management using systems such as AS400.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments to support e-commerce initiatives and distribution center operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure proper maintenance.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control and management practices.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes within a distribution center environment.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Experience with e-commerce operations is desirable.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software, including AS400, is an advantage.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety.
Working Relationship
Communication is required across all levels of the organization- executive team, other functional leaders, subordinates and production floor workers. The team lead works under the immediate supervision of the Purchasing Manager.
PPE
Safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes at all times while on the production floor
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift/move in excess of 50 lbs. at a time
- Stand, walk, stoop, and perform motions for an extended period
Safety
This position expects to adhere to all safety rules to include the use of all require protective personal equipment (PPE). Specifically, eye and hearing protection must be worn at all times while in the production floor.
