What Your Days Will be Like
Through our Care For Business, Care.com provides access to the world’s largest network of care providers for backup child and adult care and ongoing care for children, seniors, pets, and the home. We are looking for a high-energy relationship builder to help us grow our partner ecosystem. The Network Development Representative is responsible for identifying, building relationships, and contracting with childcare businesses in order to grow the Care For Business Center Network. This role will work in close collaboration with the Safety/Vetting team and the Relationship Management team to build a robust Child Care Program Network that families can rely on.
What you will be working on
- Identify and nurture prospective network child care programs in target areas
- Identify ways to incentivize prospects
- Maintain a consistent and sustainable pipeline of opportunities and negotiate those deals through the sales cycle to close
- Manage contract negotiations navigating business terms, safety requirements, and pricing
- Monitor daily volume of calls, messages, & touchpoints
- Achieve individual contract goals on a consistent basis
- Work in close collaboration with Safety/Vetting team to ensure centers meet our requirements
- Work in close collaboration with Relationship Management team to launch new partners
What you will need to succeed
- Previous sales or partnership development experience
- Outstanding customer service and phone skills
- Organized and process-oriented in approach and prioritization of targets & tasks – must be able to manage concurrent activities across the sales cycle
- Problem-solving & closing skills – ability to handle objections, persuade, and consistently close deals
- Ability to maintain accurate information on each account in a sales automation system
- Motivation, drive, and a self-starting mindset- this position requires a high level of activity and resilience
- Be a team player- must be able to collaborate with different groups and innovate the best approaches for success.
- A high degree of integrity and professionalism
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude combined with a constant “what’s up next?” mentality as you’ll be working with multiple accounts at once.
- Ability to change direction quickly and adapt on the fly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Pluses: Previous Salesforce and/or Hubspot experience

Salary: $48,000 - $60,000 Commission
The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the national salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Care.com’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives. In addition, Care.com provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life, and disability insurance, a generous 401K employer matching program, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
