Redcare Pharmacy runs an online European pharmacy that sells prescription and over-the-counter medicines, health supplements, and beauty/personal care items directly to customers. It uses a web-based e-commerce platform, bypassing physical pharmacies, and has integrated digital health tools (such as MyTherapy and Dutch e-health platforms) and electronic prescriptions to streamline ordering and medication management. The company differentiates itself by expanding through acquisitions (e.g., Europa Apotheek, nu3) to grow prescription drug sales and digital health offerings, while focusing on the DACH region and maintaining a catalog of 150,000+ products. Its goal is to provide convenient, affordable access to medicines and health products across Europe via a scalable online platform.

Redcare Pharmacy raises 2026 revenue growth guidance to 15-17% amid RX customer surge

Redcare Pharmacy NV raised its 2026 revenue growth guidance to 15-17%, up from the previous 13-15%. The online pharmacy reported reaching 1.7 million active prescription customers in Germany, representing 4% quarter-over-quarter growth. The company's adjusted EBITDA margin improved to 3.5% in Q2, its highest level in a decade. This was achieved whilst reducing marketing spending, demonstrating improved cost efficiency. However, the German non-prescription business experienced growth deceleration, partly attributed to a heatwave and competitive pressures. July trading was softer than expected, with anticipated group growth below 20%. CEO Olaf Heinrich addressed concerns about competitor Rossmann entering the online pharmacy market, noting that previous entrant DM had limited impact. He emphasised the complexity of the prescription segment as a barrier to new competitors. A new regulation requiring personal signatures for prescription deliveries will add minimal costs, expected to be less than £1 million annually. The company was not cash flow positive in Q2 despite improved profitability.
