Requirements
  • B.S. or equivalent experience in computer science/related field
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience including designing large scale systems leveraging big data
  • 4+ years managing a high performance engineering team
  • Experience with Java and/or Python, relational and NoSQL databases, messaging systems
  • Experience partnering closely with data science/machine learning teams, working through the full lifecycle of ML models
  • Experience making architectural and design-related decisions for large scale platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers, scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders alike
Responsibilities
  • Lead one or more engineering teams. Manage, mentor and coach team members to help them reach their highest potential
  • Partner as a thought leader with your Product, Data Science and Marketing peers to define the direction for your platform and build the roadmap for your team
  • Own the technical vision for the team’s systems, including the full lifecycle of ML models in partnership with the science team (including data and feature engineering)
  • Use significant depth and breadth of technical expertise to ensure platforms being built are scalable, maintainable and extensible
  • Own all aspect of effective, iterative delivery of roadmap product features
