Requirements
  • The candidate must be at least 18 years old.

  • The candidate must be capable of working in and being exposed to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties.
  • The candidate must remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
Responsibilities
  • The specialist promotes a physical security culture by assessing and maintaining safe and secure standards throughout the store, including the exterior property.
  • The specialist responds to and accurately documents security incidents in a timely manner.
  • The specialist appropriately responds to guest issues to provide a safe and secure environment for team members and guests.
  • The specialist leverages de-escalation tactics and resources when responding to security incidents across the store.
  • The specialist conducts merchandise theft recoveries and provides theft apprehension support as needed while adhering to Asset Protection policies.
  • The specialist prevents theft and shortage at the front of the store by performing merchandise receipt checks, adhering to Asset Protection policies, and recognizing and communicating trends.
  • The specialist submits appropriate documentation in the case management system for all incidents following Asset Protection policies and procedures.
  • The specialist understands and appropriately uses Target's video surveillance system.
  • The specialist demonstrates ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
  • The specialist works safely, complies with safety policies, best practices, and training, reports hazards, and corrects them where possible.
  • The specialist creates an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience by greeting guests, helping them find what they need or resolving issues, and thanking them after transactions.
  • The specialist actively supports team efforts and assists peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
  • The specialist adjusts to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience.
  • The specialist performs other duties based on business needs.
