Lab Summary:

The Immersive Experience (IMEX) Lab is a group of Software Engineers researching and developing the next generation of Mixed Reality platforms.

The Web Platform team is comprised of passionate technologists who are exploring new and innovative ways to enhance web browsing, integrate web technologies into the Samsung product ecosystem, improve service integration, and contribute to the future of web standards.

Responsibilities Include:

• Integrate NLP and ML services into Samsung Internet browser
• Test and evaluate ML models on latest Galaxy devices
• Contribute towards building future mobile computing and web platform (browser) for mixed reality use-cases
• Actively participate in our innovation process – from prototypes, research papers and patents.
• Communicate with other team members to establish an effective pipeline
• Propose creative solutions to meet product goals

Experience Requirements:

• Currently pursing Master’s/PhD degree in Computer Science or relevant field
  • Expected to complete degree by July 2025 or earlier for PhD’s and 2023 for MS candidates
• Strong development skills in at least one of the following languages: Python and/or JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with Chromium browser development is a strong plus but not required
• Familiarity with NLP for text generation is a plus
• Familiarity with Web technologies and/or Web Extensions is a plus
• Hands on experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Passion for quality and writing clean, solid, readable code that scales and performs well
• Ability to work tactically and strategically at the same time

Our total rewards programs are designed to motivate and engage exceptional talent. The hourly pay rate range for roles at this level is $39 and $70 but may be higher or lower in other states due to geographic differentials in the labor market. Within the hourly pay rate range, individual rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education and training.
