Requirements

  • Understanding of and ability to articulate security controls for common platforms, devices and cloud components, including Windows, Unix, Linux, AWS, GSuite, O365 and network equipment
  • Experienced industry analyst covering cybersecurity
  • 7+ years of enterprise security experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a security leadership role
  • Deep security domain knowledge and expertise, with the ability to be a cybersecurity expert
  • Bachelor degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Management Systems, or related field, or compelling story
Responsibilities
  • Present to and engage with prospects, customers, and the security community at large, including C-level executives, both to drive awareness in the security community, and to continue to inform and evolve our security program strategy
  • Participate in industry analyst/influencer interactions as a spokesperson
  • Create engaging content at a consistent cadence, effectively communicating to both technical and non-technical audiences, including preparing blogs, bylined articles, technical content, demos, vlogs, videos, podcasts, and more to position Expel as an innovator
  • Speak at virtual and in-person industry and Expel events in support of demand generation and thought leadership
  • Provide customer/prospect feedback to collaborators
  • Provide leadership by imparting both the practitioner and CISO-esque view of challenges, goals, and desired outcomes to inform product, support, and go-to-customer decision-making
  • Partner with Expel's executive, sales, marketing, customer success, and product teams on strategy and programs to help customers improve their security programs and outcomes
  • Maintain expertise of the IT threat landscape, using Expel's and third-party research
  • Provide training and mentoring to cross-functional team members across the Expel customer engagement and service lifecycle
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience applying the NIST Cybersecurity Framework or other frameworks to assess risk, CIS standards, and/or compliance standards is a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience with Kubernetes, CSPM, and container security vendors is a plus
