Requirements
  • Working towards a degree in Business, Law, Information Technology, Accounting or Finance.
  • Relevant work experience in Finance or Accounting departments.
  • Attention to detail.
  • PC skills in Microsoft Office, including Word and especially strong utilizing Excel.
  • Good oral and written communication.
  • Ability to follow directions, work independently and being able to problem solve through ambiguous situations. Willingness to learn new processes.
  • Knowledge of accounting practice and procedures.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Good work ethic and habits.
Responsibilities
  • Perform reviews, duties, and projects in support of audit and compliance controls. The primary focus will be on approving banking changes, know your customer reviews, running excel macros and communicating with manager and peers.
  • Perform duties in support of Nelnet Business Services 1099K reporting requirements.
  • Assist with clerical accounting duties, including gathering monthly stats and monthly reviews.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by management. Provide backup as directed by supervisor and other duties as may be assigned.
