- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- At least one year of registrar-related experience is required.
- Basic computer literacy is required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Superior customer service and communication skills are required.
- The ability to work independently is required.
- The role requires standing, walking, sitting, pushing and pulling more than 10 pounds, reaching, talking, and hearing.
- Maintain a smooth workflow within assigned department registration areas under direction.
- Oversee the registration process to ensure patients are registered courteously, confidentially, efficiently, and accurately.
- Interview patients or their representatives to collect financial and demographic data.
- Accurately input information into the hospital's ADT/EHR computer systems.
- Perform clerical duties related to patient registration, admissions, discharges, and transfers according to hospital policies and procedures.
- Provide patients and visitors with professional, efficient customer service.
- Experience in a complex clinic setting and/or Patient Access Department is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
