Pye-Barker Fire & Safety appoints President of Commercial Services. July 15, 2026 * Tom Austin-Morgan Pye-Barker Fire & Safety has appointed Peter Robbins as President of Commercial Services, a newly created leadership role that will oversee the company's acquisition activities, commercial strategy and growth initiatives across the United States. Reporting to CEO Bart Proctor, Robbins will lead efforts to guide Pye-Barker's acquisition strategy while helping evaluate, integrate and grow acquired businesses. The company has completed more than 200 acquisitions as part of its expansion strategy. Robbins joins Pye-Barker from Baird, where he served as Managing Director in the Global Technology and Services Investment Banking Group. There, he jointly led the firm's coverage of Facility, Industrial, Residential & Environmental (FIRE) services and advised on dozens of transactions across the fire and life safety sector. His experience provides extensive knowledge of the industry's operators, business models and market dynamics. Robbins is also a long-time advocate of Ownership Works, the non-profit organisation that partnered with Pye-Barker to establish its ALL In ownership programme, which provides employees with opportunities to build wealth through ownership. Commenting on his appointment, Robbins said: "Pye-Barker is one of the few companies I've seen scale this quickly without losing what made it worth scaling in the first place. The operational rigor, the culture, the ownership - what this team has built is truly special, and I look forward to being part of its continued growth." Bart Proctor, CEO of Pye-Barker, added: "Peter has sat across the table from us, from our competitors, and from dozens of the businesses we've acquired. He understands this industry as well as anyone, but it was his commitment to the people that make this company great that truly stood out to me. "Our growth, while rapid, is also very intentional. Peter's growth philosophy matches ours perfectly, and I look forward to seeing what we accomplish together." Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is one of the largest providers of fully integrated fire protection, life safety and security services in the US. The company operates more than 250 locations nationwide, employs over 9,000 people and has been recognised as a Great Place to Work Certified organisation. It is also included in the Inc. 5000 list and ranked fourth in the SDM 100
Crocs shares rose about 2% in premarket trading on Monday after Baird upgraded the footwear maker to Outperform and raised its price target to $150 from $115. The upgrade comes despite a roughly 40% year-to-date gain in the stock. Baird cited growing confidence in a North American recovery and improving trends at the HEYDUDE brand, which could drive healthier revenue growth in the second half of 2026. The firm noted that efforts since mid-2025 to clean up inventory, reduce promotions and improve marketing are yielding results. Crocs' North American direct-to-consumer business grew 4.9% in the first quarter, its first positive growth since late 2024. Baird forecasts earnings per share of $13.55 in 2026 and $14.90 in 2027, though stronger sales and share repurchases could push earnings to $17 per share in 2027.
HealthNEXT announces inaugural gold-level Culture of Health & Wellbeing Award honoring Baird at the BHCG annual meeting in milwaukee. HealthNEXT May 21, 2026, 13:30 ET Recognition celebrates organizations redefining employee health and wellbeing as a strategic driver of performance, resilience, and long-term value creation PHILADELPHIA, May 21, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ - HealthNEXT announced that Baird has been awarded the Gold-level HealthNEXT Culture of Health & Wellbeing Award, a distinction reserved for organizations that are approaching best-in-class levels for what a truly high-performing culture of health and wellbeing looks like in today's workforce. The HealthNEXT Culture of Health and Wellbeing Award recognizes leading employers that have moved beyond traditional programs to embed health, wellbeing, and performance into the core of their business strategy. These organizations demonstrate measurable excellence across a rigorous, evidence-based framework including leadership alignment, governance, strategic planning, benefits design, and enterprise-wide outcomes. More importantly, these efforts extend beyond the workplace. Organizations recognized by HealthNEXT are contributing to a broader "ripple effect" - strengthening families and contributing to the prosperity of communities through healthier, more engaged populations. "Today's most successful organizations understand that supporting the health and wellbeing of their workforces is the right thing to do. Additionally, it is not a cost, it's an investment with a significant return," said Dr. Ray Fabius, Co-Founder, President, and Chief Medical Officer of HealthNEXT. "Baird exemplifies what it means to operationalize that belief at scale." A Model for Modern Employer Excellence Baird's Gold-level recognition reflects sustained, measurable performance across HealthNEXT's ten pillars of a best-in-class culture of health and wellbeing. Their approach demonstrates how intentional design, disciplined execution, and leadership commitment can transform workforce health into a competitive advantage. Key differentiators contributing to Baird's recognition include: * Enterprise Integration of Health and Wellbeing: Health and wellbeing are fully embedded across leadership and day-to-day operations - positioning them as a core component of how the organization functions, not as isolated initiatives. * Strategic Stewardship of Health Investments: Baird demonstrates a disciplined, data-driven approach to managing health-related investments - balancing employee experience, health and wellbeing outcomes to achieve long-term sustainability while aligning closely with enterprise strategy. This visibility reinforces wellbeing as both a cultural priority and a strategic business lever. * Commitment to Benefits Equity: Through equitable benefits design, Baird reinforces fairness and long-term employee wellbeing - structuring healthcare premiums so lower-paid employees pay less and higher-paid employees contribute more. This ensures benefits are accessible to everyone and strengthens both culture and performance. * Executive-Led Health Governance: A dedicated Health Care Subcommittee, supported by senior leadership champions, ensures health and wellbeing remain visible, prioritized, and continuously advanced at the highest level. * Exceptional Workforce Engagement: Baird's B\Well program has achieved sustained participation rates exceeding 90%, reflecting deep employee trust, relevance, and cultural alignment. Over time, the program is shifting to foster intrinsic motivation - where employees participate because wellbeing is part of how work gets done, how teams support one another, and how people experience vitality. This evolution signals that wellbeing is no longer a program to join but a shared value embedded in daily behaviors, leadership expectations, and employee shared commitment. Collectively, these efforts position Baird among a select group of organizations that have reached a level of maturity where health and wellbeing are not just supported - but are actively driving organizational performance. "At Baird, taking care of our associates and their families is fundamental to who we are. As an employee-owned firm, we take a long-term view and investing in our associates' wellbeing helps sustain our culture and achieve great results for our clients," said Rodney Jones-Tyson, Global Chief Human Resources Officer of Baird. "We're honored to receive HealthNEXT's Gold-level Culture of Health & Wellbeing Award." About the HealthNEXT Culture of Health & Wellbeing Awards: The HealthNEXT awards recognize organizations at varying stages of maturity - Bronze through Platinum - based on measurable progress against established benchmarks. Gold-level honorees represent organizations that have achieved advanced culture of health and wellbeing and demonstrated outcomes across multiple dimensions of health and wellbeing performance.
