The Position

Roche Pharma India is a fully fledged Roche Country Organization headed by a General Manager, operating across India in a unique cluster-based operating model. This fit-for-purpose model is aligned to realize the huge potential in India that is waiting to be unlocked. As the People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner for Roche Pharma India, you will:

Act as the vital catalyst, rallying all other P&C chapters around the business priorities and P&C strategy. While this is an individual contributor role, it requires the mindset of a strong and highly influential business leader and entrepreneur. You will thrive by accomplishing things through others and living agility in all its facets.

Key Responsibilities

• Influence & Trust: You must have the ability to influence with courageous authenticity, build trust with individuals at all levels, and challenge the status quo when appropriate without relying on formal reporting lines.

• Coaching: You will act as a trusted strategic partner, a credible activist, and a coach to creative leadership and the country leadership team. You will engage in honest, authentic, and open dialogue at all levels to unlock the greatness in our people and organization.

• Strategic Alignment: You will translate business strategy into P&C strategies for the leadership areas and drive fit-for-purpose implementation and pull-through.

• Organizational Transformation: You will be a key enabler of organizational transformation, advancing organizational design and effectiveness, including driving shifts in mindset, behaviors, and ways of working.

• Data-Driven Culture: You will focus on data-driven insights to inform your actions and the overall P&C strategy, aiming to create a high-performance, integrity-driven culture where employees can thrive.

Who You Are

• Experienced Professional: You bring 10+ years of broad, progressive HR management or consulting experience in international business environments, recognized for best-in-class HR practices.

• Handles complexity well, can handle multiple tasks and initiatives at the same time - can prioritise and organise your own and the P&C team's time and energy into the most important topics in service of our outcomes.  You are someone who can stay calm in chaos and approach charged topics with maturity and objectivity, and propose solutions that are in the best interests of the organisation and our outcomes

• Systems Thinker: You possess systems thinking and a proven ability to work effectively across multiple business areas, teams, and key leadership networks in a fast-paced environment.

• Purpose-Driven: You take a genuine interest in people, create REAL connections, and have a strong purpose—loving to see the business succeed as a result of focusing on people and customers. You are interested in making an impact at an affiliate and global level, and are open to long-term international career development.

• Educated Communicator: You hold a Bachelor's or University degree in Human Resources (an advanced degree is preferred). You have strong written and verbal communication skills. Fluent English is a must, and knowledge of Hindi is a plus. Requirements: 

• Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred.

• This role will require you to travel 25-30% of your time as we are a large organisation spread across India.
