Vizient Intern Program Overview:

This program is intended to create a beneficial relationship and growth opportunity for Vizient, our employees, and collegiate students. Since 2000, our summer intern program has provided college undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate students a practical experience that exposes them to multiple aspects of a career field and the healthcare industry. This full-time, paid intern program offers an opportunity to accelerate academic learning, apply classroom knowledge, and introduce students to a professional setting. Interns are assigned a supervisor to mentor/develop business skills and monitor work experiences. Interns are part of the company’s team, setting goals, working toward deadlines, and participating in community service projects.

The program requires the intern to commit to 10 weeks of participation in all formal training, mentoring, on-the-job learning, and opportunities to interact with senior leaders.

• Program starts June 2, 2025, and ends August 8, 2025.
• 40 hours per week with a pay rate of $24 per hour.

We provide the tools and training necessary to succeed, as well as provide intentional development opportunities such as:

• Exposure to senior leadership to discuss the project, strategy, and milestones.
• Network opportunities with cross-functional teams to learn about various areas within the organization.

• Intern-led community impact project and various team-building activities outside of work.

What you will do:

The intern will receive extensive training in conducting CDB trend and quality outcome data analysis using the CDB online tool's front-end interface. This work will support both member requests and the research analytics team. Responsibilities will include extracting data, performing detailed analysis, and interpreting results to deliver actionable insights. Additionally, the intern will be able to pursue an individual research project in an area of their choice, applying their skills to explore topics aligned with their interests.

What you will need:

• Enrolled in a graduate (master’s program) in favorable academic standing.
• Basic understanding of working in a hybrid environment, workplace ethics, and effective communication with managers
• Good organization and planning skills, and demonstrate effective project coordination, facilitation, and implementation based on past work or school experiences.
• Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to analyze and synthesize information for problem-solving are preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting across the team and potentially with internal Vizient business partners, external members, and suppliers.
