Moxion Power provides zero-emission power solutions through its main product, the MP-75, a mobile battery energy storage system (BESS) that offers 75kW of power and over 600kWh of energy. This system is designed to replace traditional diesel generators, eliminating harmful emissions and requiring no maintenance. Moxion's business model focuses on the rental and sale of these units, making them accessible to various clients, including film studios, event organizers, and construction companies. They have partnered with Sunbelt Rentals to facilitate easy access to their products. Moxion differentiates itself by targeting sectors that typically rely on diesel generators and has secured notable clients like Amazon. The company's goal is to promote sustainable power solutions while expanding its market presence, as evidenced by their recent $100M Series B funding and the establishment of a manufacturing plant in California.

Suffolk Technologies Launches Applications For Fifth Annual Boost Program With New Global Operating Partners

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Suffolk Technologies, the venture capital affiliate of Suffolk that funds the next generation of companies solving built environment challenges, has launched the application process for its fifth annual BOOST program. This intensive eight-week program is designed to ignite growth and equip pioneering built world startups with the right tools to transform the industry. As inflation, supply chain challenges, a national labor shortage, sustainability regulations, and economic uncertainty continue to present significant challenges to the AECO (architecture, engineering, construction, and operations) industry, emerging startups are poised to make a large impact by developing solutions that address these problems. Throughout the intense eight-week program, the startups selected will be launched into the built environment with direct access to jobsites and testbeds around the world, unparalleled operational knowledge, and an influential network of industry leaders and academics. This year, Suffolk Technologies has expanded its network of Operating Partners, a group of other general contractors, building owners and operators, real estate services companies, material providers and trade partners who will engage with this year’s cohort throughout the program. “In the fifth year of BOOST, we are excited to harness the powerful ecosystem that has emerged around this program over the past few years,” said Parker Mundt, Vice President of Platform for Suffolk Technologies

Mill Valley Music Festival Goes Green With Moxion Power: First-Ever U.S. Festival Powered Entirely By Zero-Emission Batteries

RICHMOND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The 2024 Mill Valley Music Festival (“MVMF”) is set to become the first-ever U.S. festival to operate entirely on mobile zero-emission batteries, thanks to a groundbreaking partnership with Moxion Power (“Moxion”), a California-based leader in mobile battery energy storage system (BESS) technology. Moxion’s headquarters is an MCE Deep Green Champion and purchases 100% renewable and carbon-free energy to power its operations and products. Organized by the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce and Noise Pop Industries, this two-day outdoor arts and culture extravaganza located just outside San Francisco will ditch all traditional diesel generators as the music festival returns May 11-12. Instead, Moxion's innovative MP-75/600 mobile BESS – recognized as a TIME Best Invention of 2023 – is virtually silent and will power everything from sound stages and VIP lounges to food trucks and vendor areas. By using Moxion’s batteries instead of diesel generators this year, MVMF will avoid approximately 4.5 tons of greenhouse gas emissions
