  • Student working toward a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Supply Chain Management for entire duration of internship
Responsibilities
  • Understand quote strategy and ensure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately
  • Obtain accurate and timely quote feedback from the supply base and execute appropriate actions as needed
  • Assume ownership to ensure all materials costing activity is completed by the established due date. Manage quotation requests with appropriate suppliers to ensure Plexus Corp. obtains industry competitive component pricing within the requested time frame
  • Ensure all quoting records are complete and free from errors and evaluate competitiveness of quotation with reference to historical and current market conditions
  • Assist in providing feedback to suppliers as to their competitiveness and timeliness to Plexus Corp. requests
  • Maintain contact information and other key information on suppliers. Maintain the data integrity of material costing systems
  • Generate quoting and miscellaneous reports and prepare information as needed
  • Gain an understanding of the marketplace and maintain knowledge of key suppliers and manufacturers
  • Acquire knowledge of Plexus Corp. contracted or customer registered pricing for all applicable components
