Requirements
  • A strong detailed understanding of quality assurance and the core pillars of effective risk management around anti-money laundering and financial crime.
  • A recognized compliance and/or audit qualification such as ICA or ACAMS, or education to relevant degree level.
  • Operational knowledge and understanding of United Kingdom regulations and legislation, including the Payment Services Regulations and Criminal Finances Act, and their application.
  • A clear communicator with a high standard of written English.
  • Team management experience, ideally including domestic and international direct reports.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team located in the Philippines, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across time zones and cultures, and provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations to direct reports.
  • Assist the business and Director of Quality Assurance in developing, implementing, and continuously improving the quality assurance program to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the maintenance and improvement of policy and procedure documentation relating to the role and team.
  • Undertake quality assurance checks on internal performance across multiple compliance process frameworks, ensure consistency across the function, and provide feedback to the Director of Quality Assurance.
  • Maintain documentation and records relating to testing, changes, and rationales.
  • Formulate management information and regular reporting, including regional dashboards and metric reporting on quality assurance findings and project progress.
  • Analyze monthly management information to identify gaps, develop remediation actions, and challenge the effectiveness of current processes and procedures.
  • Drive change and improvement in performance and quality, and expand quality assurance coverage of high-risk compliance areas.
  • Partner with and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional partners and process leads.
  • Develop effective relationships between Visa Payments teams and their counterparts within the wider Visa organization.
  • Assist with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including other functions and departments when applicable.
  • Support the Director of Quality Assurance with internal audits and regulatory requests, ensuring satisfactory resolution of audit findings and recommendations.
  • Maintain knowledge of anti-money laundering and financial crime compliance requirements.
  • Support the Director of Quality Assurance on projects and other ad hoc regulatory compliance projects.
  • Promote and embed a culture of compliance, including delivering necessary training and communications.

  • Ability to take a flexible and agile approach and respond to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask.
