As a Business Development and Sales Lead, you will play a pivotal role in developing relationships, building the deal pipeline, and generating revenue for the business. You will become an expert in the Lightspark product ecosystem, and will document, track, and work new business opportunities. You will leverage multi-channel outreach and apply a data-driven approach in doing so. This role is based in Los Angeles at Lightspark headquarters.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Develop and grow Lightspark’s relationships with prospects, while examining risks and the potential for these business opportunities.
Deeply understand potential partners’ needs, objectives, goals and build proposals to best serve them.
Analyze market trends, customer insights, and data analytics to identify opportunities, then subsequently take actions to turn these opportunities into revenue generating partnerships.
Partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive deals forward, including Marketing, Finance, Product, Legal, Operations; and with external partners’ cross-functional teams.
Maintain accurate business development and sales data, reporting, and documentation by using internal tools, including Hubspot.
Represent Lightspark at industry events, trade shows and networking functions.
Complete RFPs and presentations to well position Lightspark to win new opportunities.
Attain, and ideally exceed, your goals and revenue targets.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree are a plus, but not required. We appreciate and acknowledge that some of the best talent comes from non-traditional backgrounds.
Strong familiarity of cryptocurrencies and crypto ecosystems, plus passionate about staying updated with industry developments.
4-8+ years experience in business development, partnerships or sales, with a track record of driving revenue growth and achieving meaningful results.
Demonstrated experience navigating and thriving in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex ideas and strategies effectively.
Highly motivated self-starter with a strong desire to exceed expectations and grow within the organization.
Strong ability to partner cross-functionally, and foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Strong understanding of sales and business development methodologies and sales cycles.
Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving targets, driving growth, and desire to continuously improve.
A self-starter with deep comfort operating in ambiguity and frequent change, while still delivering results.
Ability to work onsite in our HQ in Los Angeles, CA.
