Requirements
  • Five years of experience testing applications designed in Java and .NET and testing web applications, with familiarity with cloud and Software-as-a-Service concepts.
  • Eight years of experience with smoke testing, regression testing, black box testing, white box testing, manual testing, and automated testing.
  • Advanced experience using SQL queries and PL/SQL programs for application testing.
  • Eight years of experience with software quality assurance or software engineering methodologies.
  • Experience writing, revising, and verifying quality standards and test procedures, including test plans and test cases.
  • Experience breaking down business requirements and technical design specifications into test cases.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Four years of experience with data testing using SSIS, SSRS, and extract, transform, and load processes.
  • Four years of experience testing data between Microsoft SQL databases, Oracle, and mainframe data.
  • Two years of experience with the RRC LoneSTAR system.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately, and work independently or on a multifunctional team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct verification and validation activities across multiple test streams to ensure software and systems meet specified requirements.
  • Create detailed quality assurance artifacts, including test cases, test plans, and test scripts aligned with software requirements and design specifications.
  • Prepare for and manage test execution efforts as part of a large team or as the sole tester, ensuring thorough testing and issue identification.
  • Complete ADA accessibility testing to ensure compliance with relevant accessibility standards.
  • Generate daily test status reports and provide detailed test metrics for progress tracking in the Mainframe Transformation program.
  • Conduct manual, automated, system, integration, and regression testing using diverse methodologies to validate software functionality and performance.
  • Verify transactional databases, including Informatica code and extract, transform, and load processes, for accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Validate legacy mainframe applications, data reporting systems, and applications developed in Java and .NET environments for functionality and integration.
  • Analyze user requirements, operational procedures, and system challenges to identify opportunities for process automation and refinement of existing systems.
Desired Qualifications
  • Four years of experience using Azure DevOps for planning, tracking, and creating dashboards.
  • Four years of mainframe application testing experience, including one or more of COBOL, JCL, CICS, Informatica, and Mulesoft.
  • Four years of experience developing web application test scripts using Java, Selenium, or similar tools.
  • Four years of experience with database queries, creating input data, and verifying data updates.
  • Four years of experience with ADA planning and testing.
  • Four years of experience with Informatica and Change Data Capture planning and testing.
  • Four years of experience with Microsoft, Java, and n-tier web technologies.
  • Four years of experience with current web technologies and testing web applications.
  • Four years of experience with functional testing, performance testing, and load or stress testing.
  • Six years of experience generating SQL queries and using other data interrogation methods.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry and on general compliance and enforcement-related projects.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
