Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in nursing and three years of experience as a registered nurse.
  • Current South Carolina Registered Nurse licensure or licensure in a compact state is required.
  • Basic Life Support certification with the American Heart Association is required.
  • The role requires the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with diverse groups, individuals, medical staff, and other healthcare disciplines.
  • The role requires highly developed analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • The role requires the emotional and mental ability to perform effectively and efficiently under pressure and during stressful or emergency situations.
  • The incumbent must maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and use advanced clinical management, consultation, education, and research to promote quality care for specific transplant patient populations.
  • Apply research-based practice in collaboration with peers to support clinical knowledge growth.
  • Provide ongoing training for new staff.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory changes from the United Network for Organ Sharing and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
Desired Qualifications
  • Transplant nursing experience is preferred.
  • Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator certification is preferred.
