- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Designer in the specified discipline.
- Proficiency in 2D MicroStation Computer-Aided Design and Drafting.
- Ability to perform system walkdowns in the field.
- Provide 2D Designer support services to assigned Savannah River Remediation Engineering Teams including engineering analysis, design development, and generation of design output documents.
- Develop Electrical design outputs including equipment layout, grounding, cable tray, conduit, lighting systems, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Apply working knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as International Electrotechnical Commission, National Electrical Code, National Fire Protection Association, National Electrical Manufacturers Association, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
- Develop Plant Design outputs including mechanical systems, piping, material handling, equipment, and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning components.
- Create equipment, piping, and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning layouts based on upper-tier documents.
- Apply working knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as American Society of Mechanical Engineers B31.3, National Fire Protection Association 101, and American Society of Mechanical Engineers N509/510.
- Travel offsite to interface with vendors, fabricators, and other engineering organizations as required.
- Ensure design services comply with Savannah River Remediation processes and procedures.
- Formal training beyond High School in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting.
