- Completed technical or scientific university degree, such as plastics engineering, process engineering, polymer engineering, materials science, chemical engineering, or chemistry, or a comparable qualification.
- Very good German and good English language skills in speaking and writing.
- Ability to work independently, in a structured and analytical manner, and advance assigned topics.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally, for example for customer training, technical projects, or trade fairs.
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct laboratory trials involving extrusion, compounding, and mixing processes, and evaluate the results.
- Process customer and commissioned measurements in the application laboratory and develop solutions for challenging practical questions.
- Develop new applications and methods and optimize existing processes for different materials and customer requirements.
- Contribute application expertise to development projects, define technical requirements, and conduct tests and product validations under realistic conditions.
- Take responsibility for technical projects and work packages, from defining objectives and planning through coordinating involved interfaces to timely implementation and documenting results.
- Prepare experimental results clearly and create application reports and technical documents for customers and sales.
- Deliver customer training, internal training, and equipment demonstrations.
- Support international customers and sales teams with technical and application-related questions, from the initial inquiry through the appropriate solution.
- Work closely with product management, sales, research and development, service, and software development, and feed laboratory and customer-project insights into further solution development.
- Practical experience in plastics processing, particularly extrusion, compounding, mixing, or rheology.
- Interest in developing concrete technical solutions and applications from customer requirements.
- Enthusiasm for experimental laboratory work and investigating technical relationships in practice.
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of collaborating in interdisciplinary and international teams.
