Requirements
- Currently enrolled at Kansas State University
- Interest in investments and financial markets
- Good understanding of finance and accounting methods
- Demonstrated ability to work with numbers while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under time constraints
- Strong organizational skills
- A valid motor vehicle operator’s license and acceptable driving record required
Responsibilities
- Utilize various investment software (MS Office, eVestment, Bloomberg) and spreadsheets to assist in monitoring investment manager compliance and performance.
- Maintain various database software and spreadsheets to assist in monitoring investment manager compliance and performance. Generate reports as requested.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures for the investment department.
- Assist investment team in writing formal research on investment managers.
- Prepare for and attend investment manager meetings as requested. Learn about various institutional investment strategies through interviews and interactions with investment managers.
- Maintain investment manager imaging system
Desired Qualifications
- Engaged member of Student Finance Association (SFA) preferred
- Commitment and passion for investments and financial markets
- Knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications, specifically Microsoft Excel
- Previous internship experience is a plus!
