Requirements
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes and best practices, specifically focused on Change Management and how the process aligns and interacts with other ITIL processes. ITIL Certifications are required.
  • IT applications and computing platforms, including desktop and server hardware and software, database, operating systems, storage and network.
  • In-depth knowledge of Change, Configuration and Release Management processes and methodologies.
  • Communication and influence skills allowing effective oral and written communication with the team, senior management, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Must be highly organized with demonstrated ability to manage many tasks simultaneously with an organized approach.
  • Demonstrated communications skills, written, verbal, and active listening skills.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting presentations and effectively participating in meetings. Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Responsibilities
  • Monitors and ensures that the Change Management process is being adhered to in order to minimize the impact of change-related incidents upon service quality.
  • Utilize the Change Management process across the organization, to assist in coordinating projects and small changes with all business units. Ensure testing control and escalation of risks and issues. Ensuring that standardized methods and procedures are understood and followed for efficient and prompt handling of all changes, in order to minimize the impact of change-related incidents upon service quality, and consequently improve the day-to-day operations of the organization.
  • Chairing the Change Advisory Board meeting and for convening the Emergency Change Advisory Board committee where needed.
  • Engaging operational areas for input on emergency change requests as needed.
  • Overseeing and managing the raising and recording of changes, assessing the impact and risk, scheduling of the proposed changes prior to implementation, performing the review of changes and closing the requests for change once complete.
  • Reviewing non-successful changes to determine cause and mitigation for future requests and reporting these findings to management.
  • Communicating and scheduling any client or internal requested change freeze periods. Reporting any changes to management which have significant risk or client impact. The change manager has the ability to reject such changes if a complete and detailed implementation and back-out plan is not in place.
  • Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of Change Management to ensure cost efficient, timely and effective services that support the corporate business strategy.
  • Ensure that only authorized Requests for Change are implemented, that Change item information is communicated, recorded, and delivered in an acceptable timeframe in accordance with service level agreements and in compliance with the Change Management Process.
  • Provide the final change authorization based on assessment of completeness and validity of Change Management outputs (design methodology, test plans and results, implementation plans, back-out plans and verification plans).
