Requirements
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited College or University; Preferably in a field related to the internship you are applying for Junior or Senior standing Previous experience preferred (school, internship, or professional)
  • May be eligible for school credit if currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or trade school (and able to supply a letter from sponsor/administrator upon request)
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy
  • A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Key Note and Powerpoint
  • Graphic design experience preferred
  • Must have an avid interest in music, knowledge about artists, current brands and trends
  • Strong time management skills a must, along with the ability to keep up with changing task prioritization in a fast-paced team environment
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and take creative direction from superiors and constructive criticism from other team members
  • Part-Time attendance 3-5 days per week, Monday through Friday; negotiated shifts between the hours of 10AM-6PM
  • Must be able to commit to a minimum work schedule of 25 hours per week
Responsibilities
  • Assist project managers and tour promoters with creating business plans and ticket scalings
  • Assist in creation and issuance of artist contracts and addendums
  • Create and maintain artist show files and guest lists
  • Research new artists for shows and tour support
  • Tracking local, regional, and national talent for future bookings
  • Assist in obtaining box office reports and artist settlements
  • Complete various tasks for the project managers and tour promoters on the booking team
  • Create and implement an ongoing project that ties in both the booking internship and school curriculum with support from the Femme it Forward team
  • Observe weekly meetings with the booking team, as time allows
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Develop an understanding of the booking and financial side of the live music industry
  • Create and maintain relationship with agents, venue personnel, and managers
  • Learn how to efficiently work in a high pace environment in the music industry
