Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in mechanical design and development, specifically for ADAS or Connectivity control units
  • Strong Engineering fundamentals and Analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Creo, PDM, and SAP
  • Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Knowledge of New Product Development (NPD) processes
  • Understanding of mechanics, simulation, and product reliability
  • Experience with DFA, DFM, DFMEA, DRBFM methodologies
  • Ability to work effectively in multi-cultural, multi-functional teams
Responsibilities
  • Mechanical Design & Development for ADAS/Connectivity: Perform mechanical design for ADAS and Connectivity control units, including Proof of Concept (PoC) development
  • Customer / adaptation projects Develop and create detailed mechanical designs, layouts, and contours, collaborating closely with hardware, layout, and development teams
  • Apply strong engineering fundamentals, analytical skills, and knowledge of mechanics, simulation, and reliability in all design activities
  • Utilize New Product Development (NPD) principles throughout the design process, from concept to production
  • Proficiently use Creo for 3D modeling and design
  • Apply expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for manufacturing and assembly
  • Demonstrate good knowledge in one or more material groups: Sheet metal, Die cast, and Plastics
  • Conduct Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and Design Review Based on Failure Mode (DRBFM)
  • Support PDM (Product Data Management) and ECR (Engineering Change Request) activities
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary and multi-cultural teams across the entire product lifecycle
  • Perform engineering risk assessment and contribute to problem-solving initiatives
  • Contribute to the complete product life cycle management, ensuring quality and manufacturability
Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge and experience in ADAS component / sensor integration and mounting assessment
  • Experience in bracket design and development (e.g., for ADAS cameras, radars, etc.) for products
  • Knowledge in Tool Design (plastic injection molding, stampings, die casting, jigs and fixtures)
  • Experience with BOM creation in SAP
