- Enrollment in an accredited Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs educational sonography program recognized by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography is required.
- Ability to obtain Basic Life Support qualification during the orientation period and maintain it during employment.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation.
- Perform sonography procedures based on the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Practice Standards and Code of Ethics.
- Serve as the primary liaison between patients, licensed practitioners, and other support team members.
- Understand and adhere to departmental examination protocols.
- Use independent, professional, ethical judgment and critical thinking.
- Being in the second year of an accredited Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs educational sonography program recognized by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography is preferred.
