Requirements
  • 4 years experience in health insurance contract and claim administration agreement and financial agreement development.
  • Knowledge of health products and procedures, underwriting requirements, contract and funding arrangements.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to collaborate with peers and other contract specialists.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership skills and ability to work independently.
  • PC proficiency to include Word and desktop publishing application.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Has a self-starter mindset.
  • A willingness to learn new things.
Responsibilities
  • Developing master document and/or account-specific financial agreements, including phases of research.
  • Drafting, preparation, filing and maintenance of Benefit Booklets and SBCs (Summary of Benefits and Coverage).
  • Interpreting health benefits and preparing documentation that will be distributed to health plan members.
  • Working with teams that file documentation with Federal and State Insurance Regulators.
  • Maintaining the highest level of quality.
  • Developing master document and/or account-specific financial agreements, including phases of research drafting, coordination of internal approvals, filing of language with the local department of insurance, programming and implementation; and providing consultative services to multiple corporate areas.
