Requirements
  • 2+ years of technical product/program management experience, or software engineering, systems engineering, data engineering.
  • Experience delivering tech programs, products, or complex data analysis through multiple phases of the delivery life cycle.
  • Experience working with cross-disciplinary and geographically distributed software development teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Able to navigate ambiguous and complex projects largely independently.
  • Able to project cross-team influence without authority to instill a culture of ownership, rigor, and accountability.
  • Identify and communicate potential risks that could impact timelines, quality, or success. Contribute to the development of contingency plans to mitigate risks and keep programs on track.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and managers.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to FinOps by delivering key analysis and reporting, and by working with teams to execute and evolve FinOps processes as the business grows.
  • Drive resolution of complex problems by applying data-driven thinking and aligning to business goals.
  • Learn and apply FinOps principles and working processes to multiple situations, and drive resolution of problems when encountered.
  • Communicate clearly, generate accurate analysis and reporting, keep to deadlines and manage delivery risks, triage issues, and support teams seeking to use FinOps tools.
  • Help teams that are contributing to FinOps reporting and tooling, bringing key experts together in collaboration when needed to get vital context and inform on technical challenges.
  • Apply processes, standards and risk management thoughtfully, identifying the right amount of process and structure to achieve the correct outcome with the least overhead.
  • Your written and verbal communication skills are exemplary, concise and to the point, making you the initial point of contact for any stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Agile or other product management methodologies, including tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Smart Sheets, Scrum, SAFe, etc.
  • Familiarity with technologies in our stack: Kubernetes running on public clouds such as AWS; IAC tools (Terraform); Observability (ELK); Developer platforms (GitHub); Messaging (Kafka), Analytics processing (Kinesis, Flink), Databases and more.
  • Familiarity with financial and AWS usage data sets.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance, digital media streaming platform, Software and Platform as a Service offering, etc.
